Centre for Micro and Nanodevices is a recently formed center from three departments at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (FCFM), University of Chile. Our goal is to build interdisciplinary research capabilities and knowledge in various aspects of micro/nanotechnology devices. The project will merge the areas of physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering, focusing on device fabrication and its potential application. These advances can provide many innovations of interest for the scientific, educational and potentially for the industrial sectors. Our center consists young researchers with strong background in device characterization, micro/nanofabrication and optical and electrical measurements. Our center will strengthen our capabilities to perform competitive research, form new research directions, help to build international visibility and establish interdisciplinary research and education capabilities towards micro/nano device processing and functional devices.
